Popping in to say hello and wishing you all a wonderful 4th of July holiday!

I have 2 new necklaces to list today. One is called … “Rainbow Tourmaline”

I have good news and bad news. The good news is I’m off to spend an entire
week outdoors celebrating with good friends and family! Happy 50th birthday Marilyn!!!
Dave and I will be putting our “new to us” (which we named “Cayuga Drifter”) 1961
PennYan boat in the water for the first time. Dave has worked so hard on this boat,
me too, but not as hard as him, so I’m hoping all goes well … I’ll keep you posted.
Also, I decided to restore my 1959 wooden Reval Craft boat which has been sitting
in my back yard for 3 years. A perfect boat to bomb around in, can’t wait! Her engine
is in great condition, just needs body work to be done.

For the bad news, my oxygen generator broke down. Not good! My oxygen generator
is what helps power my torch to melt glass. I’ve been looking at purchasing a new one,
but the cost is pricey to say the least. So for the time being I won’t be able to make beads.

When I can justify purchasing a new oxygen generator, I will be back in full swing.

Thank you for stopping by and for all of your support with my business! Best to you
and see you in a bit ~ Nance

“Hello”, Just came from my designing table, I’ve been working on “Beach Combing”.

and finally put the finishing touches on … Some thing a little different this time. In
this necklace I created the focal bead from precious metal clay (PMC). If you don’t
know what PMC is, it’s pure sterling silver, in clay form. You form it into the shape
you want, then fire it in the kiln. After firing the clay turns into a solid piece of
sterling silver, really cool material!

We took Buzz (our Black Lab) in for surgery today. The Vet took out three
lumps, 2 were fatty tumors, the other one is being tested... Buzz isn't
a happy camper, he looks so sad & sore, can't blame him. I'm off to give
him some loving and take care of him.
Thank you for stopping by ~ Best to you, Nance

We’ve been having some awesome weather the past few days in Upstate, NY.

Doesn’t get much better than this! One of my excuses for not being around

here too much. I’ll try to get better at updating, but I can’t promise that in writing
as long as were having a gorgeous summer. On the other hand, I recently
purchase some gorgeous shell Heishi beads and have been incorporating
them into necklaces. Tonight I am posting … Mermaid Treasures necklace.
Off to the designing table I go. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for checking in ~ Nance

Upstate, NY has been in a rainy, overcast state of mind.

Still was nice to get out and walk with my umbrella. There’s

some thing about umbrella’s that give me a good feeling. Can’t

put it into words, but I do remember one Christmas, a long

time ago, I asked my Grandmother for an umbrella with bells.

Sure enough she gave me an umbrella where she sewed little

bells all around the rim. It made the most wonderful sound as

I walked in the rain…ahhh, being a kid and the simple things in life!

I have lots to accomplish tonight, so before I head out I’m

posting a new Lu Lu called … “Good Times Lu Lu”

Thanks for stopping by ~ Nance

The weather has been lovely in Upstate NY. So nice that I want to be outside as
much as I can (one reason why I haven’t been around much). Also, my lovely
assistant has been turning me into his assistant. How can I say “NO” when Dave
has helped me immensely with “Nance On Fire”? So it’s my turn to give him a
hand. One of the projects handed to me was refurbishing and painting the red
out lines around two boat PennYan insignia signs. Here’s a look at it finished…
and let me tell you, painting the edges around the letters wasn’t easy!

Another project was to shine up the Penn Yan boat horn… There’s much more,
but I’ll show you that later…

4th of July is right around the corner, and I couldn’t resist putting
this together   ... “4th of July Dragonfly”, he’s from my secrete stash…
Have a good one and thank you for coming by!

Cheers ~ Nance

Hang in there Up~Staters, summer will be here before you know it.

What’s new? For me I have a couple of new necklaces to post today, can you believe it!

Introducing … “Flow” and … “Navigator of the Seas”.

I have some new beads brewing up, I’m building on the sets slowly, but surely.

Perfecting as I go, just have to stick with it, takes discipline. It’s easy to get side tracked

while working on my torch. Some times the glass won’t go in the direction indented and
you end up going down an entirely different path, which opens up new ideas and BAM,
your off track! “Whoa” to the life of a bead maker, but it’s all good! If I stay on track,
I’ll be back soon. Enjoy the day ~ Nance

June 2nd, 2009

“Top of the morning to you”, woke up early this am with lots of energy…must
be the coffee. I’ve been working on a new bead recipe called “Earth Series”.

I finally perfected the beads to my liking and am excited to post them today.

I have two bracelets called ... “Earth Series 1” and “Earth Series 2” and a pair
of earrings that match called ... “Earth earrings”. These beads were difficult to
photograph, they have a metallic peacock iridescent color and shine to
them… how’s that for a description? Much prettier in person. Please feel
free to drop me an email  nanceonfire@rochester.rr.com.

Enjoy the day ~ Nance
